Firearm owners have social responsibilities. By completing this course, you will be instructed on what these responsibilities are. You will learn how to do the following:

  • Handle firearms and ammunition safely.
  • Use firearms and ammunition safely.
  • Comply with firearms laws. Store non-restricted firearms and ammunition safely.
  • Display non-restricted firearms and ammunition safely.
  • Transport non-restricted firearms and ammunition safely.

The Canadian Firearms Safety Course consists of two parts. One is classroom instruction. The other is learning the material in this handbook. There will be both written and practical examinations. Successfully passing them will demonstrate the knowledge and skills you have gained in the course.

The Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) is designed to apply to the broadest possible spectrum of novice firearm users. Existing firearm safety courses across Canada have a proven track record in the reduction of firearm related incidents. The CFSC is an introductory firearm safety course intended for all new firearms users

  • Course begins at 8:00 a.m. sharp
  • Be seated at least 7:50 a.m.
  • LATE COMERS (After 8:01 a.m.) FORFIT THEIR COURSE
  • All purchased courses are valid for the date purchased
  • Classes purchased cannot be refunded or transferred

  • Valid Government Issued picture ID (expired ID’s will not be accepted)
  • Note pad and pen

English is the language the firearms course is instructed in.

This firearm safety course is instructed in English. A firm comprehension of English is of utmost importance. Firearms terminology is new for most people. Not having an established comprehension level of the English language will put the individual at a large disadvantage. Please consider and understand these statements before applying.
